It was on a family holiday in 2019 that Mr Justice Mostyn’s son said: “Dad, you really need to get that tremor checked out.”

Mostyn, a senior High Court judge in the family division, was referred to a neurologist, who said the tremor could be benign but flagged up the possibility of Parkinson’s disease. The symptoms worsened and the next year Mostyn had a scan that confirmed he had the condition.
